Today we’d like to introduce you to Carol Spry.
Hi Carol, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve spent more than 30 years working in healthcare, serving in hospitals, clinics, and in the field. Over time, I realized my true passion wasn’t just treating illness but helping people prevent it, reclaim their health, and live with balance and purpose.
That vision led me to open New Beginnings Health and Wellness Center, where we focus on wellness and preventive care through coaching, speaking engagements, IV Vitamin Therapy, personalized weight loss solutions, and aesthetic services. Our goal is to empower people to become the healthiest, most fulfilled version of themselves.
In addition to the wellness center, I also founded New Beginnings HWC, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to serving individuals and families in Central Florida who are experiencing homelessness or who have been rescued from trafficking. Through outreach, resources, and compassionate care, we provide hope and practical support to help people rebuild their lives with dignity.
Every part of my journey, decades in healthcare, creating a wellness facility, and building a nonprofit, has been guided by one mission: helping people heal, grow, and step into a better future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has definitely not been smooth. After more than 30 years in healthcare, I knew I had the experience and vision, but stepping out to build my own wellness center brought challenges I never faced inside a hospital or clinic system. I had to learn how to juggle everything—business operations, marketing, hiring, and finances—while still holding true to my mission of helping people.
Another challenge has been shifting the mindset around health. Many people are used to seeking care only when something goes wrong. Helping clients understand the value of prevention, coaching, and holistic wellness often requires education and patience.
On the nonprofit side, the struggles are even more personal. Working with individuals who are homeless or who have been trafficked means facing heartbreaking realities every day. Securing funding, rallying community support, and balancing limited resources against overwhelming needs can be difficult, but the victories—seeing someone get housing, safety, or a fresh start—make the hard work worthwhile.
Through all of it, resilience, faith, and a deep belief in the importance of this work have kept me moving forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about New Beginnings Health and Wellness Center?
At New Beginnings Health and Wellness Center, we specialize in helping people take charge of their health before it becomes a crisis. We’re known for combining compassionate care with personalized solutions that support the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Our services include IV Vitamin Therapy, weight loss programs, life and wellness coaching, aesthetic treatments, and speaking engagements. What sets us apart is the way we merge clinical knowledge with coaching strategies, giving clients not only treatments but also the tools and mindset to sustain long-term change.
Equally important to our identity is our nonprofit, New Beginnings HWC, Inc. We are committed to serving individuals and families in Central Florida who are experiencing homelessness or who have been rescued from trafficking. Through resources, outreach, and coaching, we create opportunities for healing, dignity, and a new path forward.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that “New Beginnings” isn’t just a name—it’s a promise. Whether it’s a client walking into the wellness center to reclaim their health, or someone from our community nonprofit finding safety and hope, we stand for fresh starts, second chances, and the belief that transformation is always possible.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who believed in me along the way. Over the course of my 30+ years in healthcare, I’ve had mentors who not only taught me clinical skills but also showed me what it means to lead with compassion and integrity. Their examples shaped the way I care for both clients and community.
I’m also deeply grateful for the support of friends, family, and colleagues who encouraged me to step out in faith and build something of my own. Entrepreneurship and nonprofit leadership can feel overwhelming at times, but having people who reminded me of my “why” made all the difference.
And, of course, I owe so much to my clients and the community we serve. Their trust, their stories, and their courage to step into change inspire me daily. Whether it’s someone choosing to invest in their health at New Beginnings Health and Wellness Center, or an individual in our nonprofit finding the strength to start over, they’re the reason I do this work.
At the heart of it all, the biggest credit goes to God, who has guided every step and given me the vision, strength, and purpose to keep moving forward.
