Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Mitchell.
Hi Chris, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our journey started back in 2007 in one of Atlanta’s known nightclubs, and we have been featured throughout metro Atlanta at various establishments since then. We are now serving the Orlando/Central Florida region. Chris Mitchell, the owner and founder of the King of Wings, is absolutely a wing connoisseur. Over the years, I’ve experimented with different sauce recipes and various methods of preparing wings. This has led me wanting to have my own restaurant on wheels.
I have over 15 years of food and beverage experience. I was part owner of a family restaurant in Atlanta. I have been a general manager for the last ten years. During this time in my career, I realized I had the ambition, determination, and skill set to become my own employer, entrepreneur and success story. My journey started off being a chef graduated top of my culinary class. Cooking has always been a passion and something I’m really good at.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
For the most part, it has been a smooth journey. Some of the struggles became my biggest victories. Being new to the city of Orlando, they have embraced me and my business. Location was half the battle, my product speaks for itself. I quickly became the “popular new kid” on the block. I’ve been blessed to be booked and busy since I’ve been open and constantly growing.

Our specialty is everything chicken and signature sauces like our Hennessy infused Hot sauce. Our products are always fresh and never frozen. Wings are a delicious comfort food. They are there to comfort you during the bad times and also your good times; wings are the way of life. What does success mean to you?
Success to me is an accomplishment of an achieved goal I set for myself. Last year, during Covid, when I was out of a job, stressed on the possibility of losing an income, having an employer basically tell me there is nothing they can do, I should apply for a loan” I vowed to myself I would never let anyone control my life and here I am 2021 my own employer, I’ve made employers very wealth over the years it was finally time to apply all my experiences, skills and dedication into myself.
