Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Potter.
Hi Courtney, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey has been shaped by both personal loss and a drive to help others thrive. I started my career as an advertising executive in New York, which gave me an understanding of creativity, messaging, and human connection. From there, I transitioned into commercial real estate, where I learned the value of strategy, negotiation, and building meaningful relationships.
But the spark that ultimately led me to start Peakality came from a deeply personal place. My childhood best friend, Missy, passed away from ovarian cancer, and watching her struggle made me realize how fleeting life can be and how important it is to truly live well in every area of life. That experience inspired me to create a technology company that helps people build resilience and thrive personally and professionally.
With Peakality, my goal is to equip individuals and organizations with the mindset, motivation, and tools they need to live fulfilling, successful lives, whether it’s advancing their careers, growing personally, or maintaining emotional well-being. Every step of my journey from advertising to real estate to entrepreneurship has taught me that success isn’t just about achievements; it’s about helping those around you flourish as well.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has definitely had its challenges, but I’ve learned that every obstacle is an opportunity to grow. In advertising, commercial real estate, and technology, all male-dominated industries, raising funding or finding the right opportunities has required persistence, resilience, and creativity. I’ve also seen firsthand how critical it is to have people supporting women, and sometimes the support isn’t always there, but those moments taught me the value of finding your own cheerleaders, mentors, and allies.
Reinventing yourself over and over isn’t easy, but each time I’ve picked myself up, I’ve gained clarity, strength, and a deeper understanding of what really matters. With every personal and professional lesson, I’ve discovered more about my own strength and character, and it’s sculpted me into the person I am today. The key is surrounding yourself with people who believe in you, staying true to your vision, and remembering that setbacks don’t define you—they refine you. Those experiences have made every success that much more meaningful.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Peakality & Potter Real Estate Partners?
I’m a businesswoman who thrives at the intersection of strategy, opportunity, and relationships. As a commercial real estate broker, I specialize in identifying opportunities, structuring complex deals, and connecting the right people to the right resources. That same approach drives my work as the founder of Peakality, a technology platform that helps people and organizations build resilience, grow personally and professionally, and turn insights into action.
What sets me apart is my ability to see opportunities where others might not and to bridge relationships that create meaningful outcomes. Whether closing a high-stakes deal or helping someone unlock their potential, my focus is on creating value, empowering growth, and delivering results. At the core of everything I do is vision, resilience, and a commitment to helping people thrive.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been fortunate to have mentors and supporters who shaped my journey. In commercial real estate, local leaders like Daryl Carter, Scott Crossman, and Scott Renick trained me and taught me what it takes to succeed in a male-dominated industry. Nirav Pandya, our COO, has stood by my side in building Peakality the past 6 months, and early believers like Brad Gillespie and Retired Lt. Colonel Wayne Fogel helped open doors that were critical to our growth.
Even those who doubted me taught valuable lessons about resilience, discernment, and the kind of person and leader I strive to be. Every mentor, supporter, and experience has helped me shape the vision, relationships, and strategy that guide how I lead today. I surround myself with people who lift each other up, believing in one another not just in moments of success, but especially when we’re facing challenges, and I seek collaborators who share that same mindset.
