In 2018, I embarked on a journey fueled by a lifelong love for cleaning that served as therapy and passion. Dreaming of owning my cleaning business since childhood, fate nudged me towards this path.
While working as a leasing agent at an apartment complex, a new management team arrived, and with it, a new manager eager to replace me with her own choice. A few weeks later, I found myself abruptly terminated from my job. When I questioned her reasons, she bluntly stated she didn’t owe me an explanation. Graciously, I thanked her and departed.
Balancing work with the demands of caring for my daughter, who battles sickle cell disease, has always been a challenging juggle. Her frequent hospital visits often clashed with my work schedule, forcing me to take time off. During this tumultuous period, my supportive friends rallied around me, recognizing an opportunity in my setback.
Encouraging me to turn adversity into triumph, they planted the seed for what would blossom into 3D’s Spotless Cleaning Services – my entrepreneurial endeavor born from the ashes of unemployment.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey has been far from smooth sailing; I’ve stumbled and made numerous mistakes along the way, each teaching me valuable lessons.
Balancing the demands of running a business while being a mother posed one of my greatest challenges. The constant struggle to find equilibrium between these two crucial aspects of my life has been a significant hurdle that I continue to navigate and learn from daily.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory revolves around the simple joys of being at home in Haiti. Unlike having TV to occupy my time all day, my days were filled with chores that I actually enjoyed. I cherished waking up early and completing my tasks efficiently so I could have ample free time to play and have fun during the day.
Cleaning became a source of happiness; I found genuine pleasure in keeping my surroundings tidy and organized. It may sound unconventional, but for me, there was a unique sense of satisfaction and contentment in cleaning that I cherished above all else.
