Community Highlights: Meet GolDEE (Owner of Dread AddiX)

Today we’d like to introduce you to GolDEE.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I attended cosmetology school in high school. I began doing all types of hair. I found myself uninterested but still did hair part-time. I began to work in the insurance field as a Claims Adjuster. Then went to study Dentistry. While being a hairstylist part-time, I ended up obtaining more clients than I could take on part-time. I ended up quitting my full-time job and going full-time as a hairstylist. I found interest in dread loc hair and decided to specialize in just that. I decided to expand my education on dread loc hair by investing about 8k in classes and traveling. I wanted to be able to lock up people of all textures and ethnicities. Also, at this time there wasn’t anyone just doing dread locs only. I soon achieved over 800 clients on my own and decided to open an all Dread Loc Salon. The salon was a hit. Number one Dread Loc Salon. You can find on Google. The plan is to open more shops in other locations. Start a chain of Dread Addix Salons. Stay tuned

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The way I found out to make the road smooth is by listening to my clients. Meaning providing professionalism, reliability, organization and great customer service. Currently my hardest challenge is finding great Locticians (Dread Loc Sylist). Due to the demand of clients, I often have to turn down clients

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Dread Addix llc?
I own an all-Dread Loc Salon. Specializi]ng in all Dread Loc service of all hair types. I am the owner and master Loctician. My salon can loc up any hair and provides all Dread Loc Services. A few services to mention is Dread Loc maintenance, repairs, loc extensions, starting locs, children locs, and more. Dread Addix also sells Dread Loc products by Dread Addix. I also have a children’s book line that is available on Amazon for purchase. These are children’s books to help them with confidence while having their dread locs.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Don’t rush, be patient and keep good energy. Everything will fall in place.
