Hi Jamari, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started out uncertain about my future after high school. As a multi-sport athlete, I had dreams of playing at the collegiate level, but those plans didn’t work out. I found myself jumping between different jobs, trying to find a career that felt right, but something always felt missing. Eventually, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in massage school, unsure of what to expect. Completing my education wasn’t easy—there were challenges, doubts, and frustrations along the way. But as I went through the program, I discovered that massage therapy was exactly what I had been searching for. It gave me the same sense of purpose I had found in sports: helping others feel better, recover, and improve their well-being.
After completing my schooling, I decided to start my own massage therapy business. It was another leap into the unknown, but I trusted the process. Through this journey, I realized that massage therapy isn’t just for athletes—it’s for everyone. Whether you’re an athlete pushing your body to its limits or someone simply looking to improve your health and wellness, massage therapy can make a significant difference.
Today, my motto is “For Athletes and All.” I’m passionate about providing affordable care to both athletes and non-athletes, offering physical relief, recovery, and the knowledge to stay healthy and pain-free. My goal is to empower people of all ages, especially the younger generation, to take better care of their bodies, prevent injuries, and improve their quality of life.
I’m proud of the journey that led me here, and I’m excited to continue helping others heal, grow, and thrive.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting my business was filled with challenges, especially as I worried about what others might think. I often questioned myself: What if I fail? On top of that, balancing school, personal life, and building my business was overwhelming. There were times I felt torn between responsibilities, unsure how to manage it all. But through it all, I learned to trust myself and focus on my purpose. As I moved forward, I pushed past the fear and doubt, staying committed to helping others, whether athletes or non-athletes, with the care and support they needed.
