Jean Carlos, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey as a chiropractor has been shaped by dedication, hard work, and a genuine passion for helping others. After earning my Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Marietta, GA, I completed my internship in Washington, D.C., where I gained invaluable experience in treating a diverse range of patients.
Following my internship, I established several successful clinics in Virginia, where I built a strong reputation for providing high-quality chiropractic care. However, seeking new opportunities and challenges, I relocated to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I spent several years working in what was likely the busiest personal injury chiropractic clinic in the state. This experience not only sharpened my clinical skills but also taught me how to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Eventually, my journey led me to Orlando, where I launched my own practice, Element Chiropractic, to serve the vibrant Latino community, particularly the Puerto Rican population in Orlando and Kissimmee. My goal has always been to provide patient-centered care that blends education, empowerment, and holistic health.
Today, I’m proud to lead a growing practice that reflects my values, cultural heritage, and commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, but the challenges have been instrumental in shaping my journey. Early on, establishing multiple clinics in Virginia required learning the intricacies of running a business while still focusing on delivering excellent patient care. Balancing growth with maintaining high standards was a constant challenge.
When I moved to Fort Lauderdale to work in one of Florida’s busiest personal injury clinics, I faced the pressure of managing an incredibly high patient volume. It pushed me to sharpen my time management and clinical skills to ensure every patient still received the care they deserved.
Later, transitioning to opening my own practice in Orlando came with its own set of challenges, from finding the right location to building a patient base from scratch. Additionally, navigating the complexities of insurance credentialing and balancing the financial realities of running a business added to the journey’s demands.
Through it all, persistence, adaptability, and a commitment to my patients have helped me overcome these obstacles and build a thriving practice.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that many people might not know about me is the extent of my experience in personal injury care. Over the last three years, I’ve conducted more than 3,000 initial evaluations for patients involved in auto accidents, helping them understand their injuries and guiding them on the path to recovery.
In addition, throughout my career, I’ve performed over 10,000 chiropractic adjustments, refining my skills and techniques to provide effective, personalized care for each patient. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how to address a wide range of injuries and conditions, which is a cornerstone of the care we provide at Element Chiropractic.
