Hi Jessica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Back in 2018, I became bored with my job and had the urge to start something of my own. I looked at many different professions but wig making peaked my interest. I started researching and watching YouTube videos daily. I chose the name Serphie’s Wigz Collection for my company to honor my late mother. I purchased the supplies and materials I needed to get started. I’m the beginning, I was shy and afraid because I wasn’t confident in my craft yet. My family and friends rallied around me and gave me the support I needed to get over my fear.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All things taken into consideration, I’d say it’s been a pretty smooth road. Of course, there have been struggles but nothing I haven’t overcome & prevailed.
As a relatively new business owner, I’m learning as I go. One important lesson for me was learning to separate my personal feelings & emotions from the business. It’s was initially hard for me not to internalize some of the feedback I received.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The characteristic that I feel has been most important to my success is that I’m a perfectionist. I work extremely hard to ensure that every aspect in the process is perfect prior to my client receiving their Serphie’s unit. Delivering high-quality units to my clients has and will always be the standard for my business & brand!
