Community Highlights: Meet Johnathan Hamilton of The KHEEP Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Johnathan Hamilton.

Hi Johnathan , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am originally from Daytona Beach, FL I graduated from Mainland High School and went on to the University of Central Florida. At UCF my freshman year I pledged Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. through the fraternity I learned how to throw and execute large scale party and events Very early in my career I partnered with Tony Khuu who also attended UCF and we built something great. Along the way we received mentorship from Pat Nix and Frontline Promotions, with the support of my beautiful wife who has been with me the whole time it has blossomed into what we have today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, struggles along the way include gaining respect from peers in the industry and learning the ins and outs of what being an elite level promoter and entrepreneur means. I always said every loss is a lesson and your discipline and understanding decides whether you make the same mistake again. One of the biggest struggles in this industry dealing with the people, and knowing how to navigate different personalities and interests.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
First and foremost, K.H.E.E.P. is an Acronym that stands for KHUU (Tony Khuu) Hamilton (Johnathan Hamilton) Entertainment Enterprise and Promotions it was officially founded in September 2004 event tho we were doing small scale events as early as 2003. Largely we are an nightlife party promotion company, however we are building brand recognition through the KHEEP name in Consulting, Life Insurance, Printing, Home Improvement and Youth Sports. What sets us apart from others is how serious we take building our company, nightlife has a low barrier of entry, a lot of people are in it for the fast money and clout that comes with it, we are in our early 40s married with 6 kids combined by those terms we should be past our prime but us continuing learning and staying on top of the trends with where the industry is going allows us to sustain our placement as a major player in nightlife throughout the USA. I’m most proud of our longevity, when you think of KHEEP you think of Knowledge and resources. People should know by aligning with us you align with experience and integrity, we do good business we have been all over the USA wins and loses, which means lessons and understanding!!!

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is “why” whether it been good or bad! understanding how and why something happened the way it did makes you powerful! Doing something and not retaining or learning information from it gets you no where! How can you building if you don’t no where to place the bricks!
