Today we’d like to introduce you to Kate Johnson.
Hi Kate , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Bridal Beauty Team started in 2010 in Chicago actually. Over the years we had so many great artists that moved with their families to other places and one of those was Tanya who moved to Orlando. We didn’t want to loose such an amazing teammate and in her down season she did (and still does) come back to help us in Chicago. Then one day Angelica reached out and. She had been living in Orlando for 20 years and had such a wonderful team working with her helping brides as well as commercial and VIP clients.
When her daughter moved to Chicago for school she came up to help her get settled in and that’s where I met her. We had a great chemistry and thought what a perfect blend to launch Orlando officially and blend it with her Florida team.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Well every business has its challenges and the wedding industry for sure has its own. You don’t have returning customers and the whole process is very emotional for the couples. But I always tell people you either love the industry or hate it. There is little in between. And for those of us that love it…it’s the best industry to be in. It’s always like putting a puzzle together and problem solving. While at the same time it’s getting the creativity of putting on a play.

We are a team of wedding lovers who help brides and grooms feel and look their best while feeling confident and also like themselves on the big day. We specialize in what we call affordable luxury. To me that means that we know we are a luxury industry. and our expertise and packages reflect that. However we aren’t elitist or ego driven and it is genuinely such a joy to be a part of someones big day

Oh my gosh Orlando and the surrounding areas are so diverse and the incredible mix of cultures creates a unique experience for those who live and work here a well as those who come here for a destination wedding.
I have to say… the heat in summer haha. It’s A LOT. but the winters beat the icy cold up north for sure
