Community Highlights: Meet Katherine Beltran of Katherine Beltran Coaching

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Beltran.

Hi Katherine, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I left Colombia and moved to the US a little over two decades ago, I knew that I would be faced with challenges. From language barriers, to raising a family and navigating the corporate world, I wasn’t going to let anything stand in my way. I believe that true success starts with your mindset and knowing that you have the power to think big.

When I look at the driving forces behind my success, three “factors” inspired me to keep going: my oldest daughter Nicole, who is going to school in New York with the dream of becoming a lawyer; my sweet and sassy* teenager, Anna; and my son Luca, the youngest of the bunch who faces each day with Autism. My family has been a priority my entire life. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve been able to be successful, regardless of the adversity and hard times that I faced. I owe much of that success to also putting myself at the top of the priority list.

I spent more than 10 years in corporate senior leadership positions, from marketing and sales strategist to serving community integrated health programs. While it was comfortable and stable, I decided to follow my passion for helping people on my own terms. I always think about people first and the impact I bring to their lives. I know that the more people I serve from my heart, the money will follow. This principle allowed me to have such a successful career in corporate, bringing in half-million dollar grants and closing contracts with large organizations. This same idea of service holds true in entrepreneurship.

I know what it feels like to start the journey of building a business, only to be left with more questions than answers. I know the frustrations of watching countless videos and investing thousands of dollars, only to be left with the “glitter”-filled promises and no ROI. I didn’t make 6-figures in my first year of coaching, and the truth is that I have not let the chapters of my life where I am not at my best define who I am. I don’t were my challenges as badges of honor. Today I can tell you that the successful business coach and entrepreneur I have come from the decisions I took when I was going through rough times.

You may have heard the expressions “there are no shortcuts to a successful business” and even “building a business is not a race, it’s a marathon”. When I decided to compete in my first triathlon at the age of 38, I didn’t have a goal to finish first. I set a goal to just finish the race… without needing to ride in the car that picks up runners who can’t finish the race! That car never picked me up for the first race or for the three years that followed. There is nothing better than finishing the race and feeling the pride of your determination and hard work!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road for sure. I know what it feels like to start the journey of building a business, only to be left with more questions than answers. I know the frustrations of watching countless videos and investing thousands of dollars, only to be left with the “glitter”-filled promises and no money in the bank. I learned that the idea of building a successful online business was beyond growing a social media following. It took me six months trying to figure out everything on my own before I started to invest in learning the behavior of the online consumer and all that this entitles and, more importantly than anything, investing in shifting my mindset and personal growth.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I help entrepreneurs and business owners that refuse to settle for anything but their full potential implement effective marketing, business and mindset strategies to build confidence and the skills they need to become fearless and achieve the highest level of success in their life and business.

What set me apart form the rest? That I am a coach, not a consultant not a teacher, a COACH. What this means? That help my clients find from within the changes they need to make to be successful and move forward. As soon as they get to the Aha! moment I know they are ready to learn from me all the strategies to set up the foundation of a sustainable business that will allow them to have the life they dream.

Here is the thing; I know what they want; they want the magic wand, the secret sauce, the exact plan. However without identifying what is the true reason that is holding them back they won’t get that far. I am a high level coach, I not only have 15 years of experience, but I also attended an accredited coaching program to prepare to be the best I can be for the people I coach.

How they can work with me:
1:1 – 6 (six) weeks VIP program
90 minutes strategy call
Attend any of my Live events.

Always they can schedule a discovery call so we both can know if we are a good fit for each other.

How do you define success?
Success for me is being able to wake up feeling happy and living my purpose. For me, success is being able to move forward and keep building a legacy inspiring and helping others reach their full potential. If you ask me if I have a successful business, I will say definitely YES! But more important than that is how successful I feel in all aspects of my life. As a business owner, my business reflects who I am, my values, and what I stand up for, so I can say that I am highly successful.
