Community Highlights: Meet Katherine Garrido

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katherine Garrido.

Hi Katherine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was a full-time wife and mom. I loved that stage of my life, but I felt unrealized as a woman in a professional way. I am a person who loves helping others. In the business of Real Estate, I found a way to help people to achieve their goals and dreams. Taking care of my family and clients, I realize that that’s the engine that makes me move forward.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been challenging. Coming from another country and not knowing anybody here in Orlando was challenging. Not being able to find clients at the start of my career, plus the ups and downs of this market, it is easier to find a client and get them to the final process once they get the key to their house.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have been a Real Estate Agent since 2015, specializing in new construction, relocation, investment, buyers and sellers, and the international market. I characterize myself as a patient person and for giving excellent customer service where I give the extra mile and do more than I suppose to do. I am proud of being recognized for the last 4 years as a Top Producer in my office for giving the best service to all my clients. The service I give is more personalized; people won’t feel like they are in the store and will have to go and do a self-checkout. I am always here to assist them in any way.

How would we have described you growing up if we knew you were growing up?
I studied Interior Design and Fashion Design in my birth country, Dominican Republic. I considered myself intelligent and always wanted to improve and achieve goals. I love art, nature, and dogs.
