Today we’d like to introduce you to Maddie Gosselin
Hi Maddie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I bought a camera to get enough credit card points to spend on flights to and from Europe. I liked the idea of investing in a tangible object rather than a plane ticket I’ll never get back. I chose a camera because I went to school at UCF for Advertising and Public Relations and have worked in the marketing and social media realm since I was 14 years old! I knew photography would be great asset to my career, so I went for it.
At the time I was the Social Media and Creative Coordinator for Visit Central Florida, but I left to pursue a lifelong dream of mine. Since before I was born, my parents have owned a NASCAR team based in Lake Wales and it has always been my passion and dream to help them grow and run their business. I started getting a lot of practice in at the track and over the off-season I attracted a lot of local clients! Whether it is motorsports, families, grads, weddings, or anything else you can dream of, I will capture it and love every second. January will make one year of me pursuing my passion of capturing people’s greatest memories.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth having is ever easy! I work 7 days a week with DGM Racing, so it is incredibly tough finding any free time for shoots and editing let alone running a WHOLE photography business. Even though there is never enough time in the day, I truly LOVE every aspect of what I do.

I photograph anything and everything. With a marketing background I have a passion for connecting with others and storytelling! I absolutely love being able to creatively capture my clients’ memories. I’m a very organized, Type A person so I enjoy helping clients figure out their vision and perfectly executing it. Every client that comes to me truly becomes a part of the Maddie G. Photographyy family because they trust me with their most intimate moments which is so beautiful to me.
In addition to photos, I offer marketing support including but not limited to: social and digital media, branding, marketing strategy, fully-integrated campaigns, and MUCH more!
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The industry will likely keep growing because many have a passion for photography. I think there will be a huge shift in what types of photographers and styles remain profitable and successful. That will largely depend on personal brand and connections as well as marketing!
