Matt & Kelly Kelly both had servant-leadership mentalities from years of community service in youth ministry and education. After making a decision to get into business together, they had a strong desire to find an area of expertise that allowed them to bring a spirit of service to the marketplace. After their home investment endeavors in the midwest starting in 2009, real estate was an optimal choice, and they instantly got to work building a practice that would bring together deep knowledge, expertise and service to their community. When you educate throughout the process and focus on people over profits, it isn’t long before success follows. Matt & Kelly built a relationship-based, referral real estate practice through serving others and guiding them each step of the process.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the most difficult parts of starting a service-based practice for Matt & Kelly was doing so directly after a move from the chilly Midwest to Florida. It takes more time to build up consistent business when you are simultaneously building your personal community. Another struggle with building any business is growing and maintaining great quality. This requires diligence in creating and documenting systems in order to ensure repeatable 5-star service. Over time, this gets easier, although we always maintain a continuous improvement mentality!

We run a full-service real-estate practice at Innovative Realty. Leading the sales division, Matt specializes in residential sales. He is known for his heart of a teacher and the ability to walk anyone through any situation that comes up throughout their real estate transaction. Matt is simultaneous knowledgeable and humble in his approach, and he makes people feel at ease in what is generally one of the largest transactions of their lives. He aims to bring people through their transactions as smoothly and uneventfully as possible. What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Orlando is a beautiful city offering the best of both worlds—nature or a hopping downtown atmosphere in one place! It is filled with opportunity to be active and stay fit while also offering some excellent restaurants and relaxing options. Native to Chicago, it’s great that Orlando is not overwhelmingly large nor too small to not feel like a big city. The traffic is getting tough at times, but our growing infrastructure is helping to alleviate traffic problems!
