Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Meadows
Nikki, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Fresh out of college in Jacksonville, FL, in my first internship in international logistics, I knew that I was not in alignment with the typical 9-5 job role. I felt like I had so many creative ideas bursting at the seams of my mind, begging to be released out into the world. I loved clothes/fashion, hosting parties for friends, helping plan weddings, and doing anything girly and creative was my passion! However, I had no time, energy, or money to do it, and I spent my time working all day doing something I wasn’t excited about. I stayed at that job for 5 years. Near the end of that journey, I started spending my weekends at Disney and really enjoyed using my creativity to style fun Disney-themed outfits (disneybounds) to wear to the theme parks. I realized that this was an opportunity for a creative outlet to share these outfits that brought me such joy on instagram and that’s where my social media content creation journey began,
After completing 5 years in the international logistics role, I moved on to a new career direction – a healthcare recruitment sales role. I also moved to Orlando, FL to be closer to family. I enjoyed talking to people and helping them chase their passions and find where they belonged. I enjoyed making connections with others and making their dreams a reality. I also loved the competitive spirit of sales and the drive it gave me to want more for myself. I also loved how lucrative it was, giving me the financial means to do more things I enjoyed. But the hours were grueling and tedious and our upper leadership at the company changed and it became an extremely toxic workspace. I burnt myself out and was burning the candle at both ends. The pressure to work 50+ plus hours per week, work nights and weekends was laid on thick. It was overwhelming, all whilst trying to share my passions & ideas online as an outlet for my creativity. My creative outlet had transcended past Disney parks & Disneybounding. It evolved to also sharing my consistent travel adventures & making relationships with travel/hotel brands, plus my love for bright feminine fashion and sharing fashion companies I loved to partner with. I found myself back in a position where there wasn’t enough time to be creative and share as often as I would like.
On year 4 of my healthcare recruitment sales role, I truly realized this was not what I wanted for my life. There wasn’t enough room to be creative and also enjoy my life. I wanted to help people but I also wanted something that was my own and the opportunity to be creative. In conversation with my friends (and now business partners) we came up with an idea to start something we were ALL passionate about, weddings & party planning! We all loved hosting parties, and all had experience with either helping plan weddings or previous full-blown wedding coordinator experience.
And so our business was born. I stayed at my healthcare recruitment job for 1 more year before quitting (5 years total) And it has been an absolute dream come true! Every single day I get to help people create their dream wedding or dream event, while still having the chance to push myself and work harder about something I am actually passionate about. I have the chance to use my creativity for the greater good for someone else and that feels extremely fulfilling. Plus I create my own work hours AND have the time to continue being a content creator & sharing the things that bring me joy on social media such as travel, fashion, and theme parks
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not! There have been many sleepless and teary eyed nights. Near the end of my corporate journey I fell into a depression and that was kind of the final straw on how I knew I was not where I was supposed to be. It’s required a lot of long hours and a lot of late nights. Anyone who knows me, knows I love my sleep so that was a huge sacrifice lol!
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

Also I would love to talk about my content creation but it wont let me choose more than one option but i think i mentioned enough on earlier pages on what i make content about 🙂
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I LOVE how many awesome pockets of town there are from Winter Park to Kissimmee. Each city in greater Orlando is different and offers many activities from theme parks to restaurants. There is ALWAYS something to do! I like our traffic the least, its the WORST!
