We’d love for you to start by introducing your team.
Founded in October of 2018, OKCreators (formerly Orlando K-Pop Creators) started as a passion project focused on uniting K-pop fans in the Central Florida community through public meetups and events. Since then, this small passion project has transitioned into a full-service live events and promotions company run by fans, for fans with an emphasis on the Korean entertainment industry.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business is never easy – especially one in an industry you don’t know much about. One of our biggest roadblocks along the way have been financial roadblocks. As an event production and promotions company, we have so many great ideas for events or experiences, but oftentimes, we aren’t able to bring them to fruition due to budgeting.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
OKCREATORS is an Orlando-based live events and promotions company that aims to connect the Central Florida K-pop community to the artists they love. We specialize in providing full-service, event management services — including event planning, vendor sourcing & coordination, and venue management — as well as marketing and public relations services.
What sets OKCREATORS apart from other similar organizations is that we are the only live events company run by fans for fans. We have the unique perspective of being able to think through an event through the eyes of a fan, which allows us to put together events that fans would enjoy.
OKCREATORS is extremely proud of the brand we’ve created, as well as the K-pop community in Central Florida we’ve built and grown with over the past three years.
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If you have something you’re passionate about – pursue it to the best of your ability, regardless of how you think it may turn out. We never would’ve imagined that our little passion project would turn into a full-fledged company, but we’ve been able to accomplish and work with so many amazing companies over these past three years.
