Community Highlights: Meet Roniya Robinson of REALTOR

Today we’d like to introduce you to Roniya Robinson.

Roniya, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started off not knowing what I wanted to do. I was just following everyone else running around in circles. I got into real estate because of my dad’s guidance. It wasn’t easy, I went to two different real estate schools, the first one was online and I was failing miserably because I have never been good at online learning. In the middle of my course, I dropped out and went to another course while they were halfway through it. I was honestly blessed to have had an instructor who helped me pass the class.

I took the state exam and failed. This is where I lost hope! Like how can I do so well just to fail.

It took 2 more times within 6 months to finally pass and I could happily say “IM A REALTOR!”.

The hardest part was looking into what broker I wanted to get started with. I took two months trying to narrow down my top 3.

Century 21 Myers was on that list.

I met with them first and was instantly locked in! From the family oriental atmosphere to the great training programs to get me started. I didn’t even have to meet with the other brokers, this is where I was supposed to be!

As this is only the beginning of a new chapter, I am ready to face it and conquer it.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has not been a smooth road at all.

Mental Health is something so important to take care of because it can affect your everyday life goals.

I had a struggled with motivation to keep going.

The hardest struggle was accepting failure to get where I am.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am ‘Roniya the Realtor’

A REALTOR with Century 21 Myers. I belong with National Association of Realtors®.

What sets me apart from others is my ability to stand out by just being myself and showing my creativity through my everyday life. I am naturally an out-of-the-box thinker. Being personable and kind is my natural self.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My dad definitely deserves the most credit for helping me to pursue this career. From pushing me and supporting me during my times I felt the most unmotivated. He has showed me how to be my own boss and self-discipline. I thank him all the time for the support he provides and life lessons.
