Hi Sarah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Community Pros Consulting is a minority & woman owned business started in 2020 to assist businesses build their communities through the use of traditional & social media, digital sales pipelines, hosting events, web services and data reporting to reach their goals.
Started by marketing and community experts, Sarah Wahl & David Pagan, Community Pros Consulting is proud to service companies from the hospitality industry to apparel companies, national events/campaigns, media companies and even feature films!
Driven by a love of seeing great organizations grow, we began helping non-profit organizations reach their volunteer and fundraising goals so they could focus on what they do best which is helping others. This work was so rewarding we decided to focus on things we personally enjoyed so we could bring this energy to every project.
Determined to showcase what we were capable of we found businesses we liked and started creating content and hosting events for them at no charge; Restaurants, food trucks, cultural events, apparel companies, dealerships & more.
While we didn’t have as many clients as we wanted at the time we thoroughly enjoyed showing small businesses how much was possible with the right attention and our work paid off. It wasn’t long before we started receiving calls from other businesses that had seen our work asking us to work our magic for them!
Since then, we have been honored to serve local and national businesses with everything from social media & web services to campaign architecture, events and film production.
Combining our corporate marketing experience with good old fashioned community building is our specialty and our passion. Following both has helped us not only grow our business, we love it!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. Starting a business with only one client and your wits can make for some restless nights and stressful situations. In the beginning it was challenging to maintain a positive attitude and belief in our plan as it ran its course. Even when things started to go as planned it came with its own challenges; Time management, client limitations, learning new skills and hiring.
It sounds cliche but, maintaining the right positive mindset (not a delusional one) and remembering how far we had come is a constant struggle for any entrepreneur.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I have always been a “spitfire” … I have a big personality. Very curious, and concerned for everyone else’s wellbeing. growing up in Minnesota made me nice, but tough. I always stick up for the underdog.
