Community Highlights: Meet Skylar Bleu of World of Skylar


Today we’d like to introduce you to Skylar Bleu.
 

Hi Skylar Bleu, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m Skylar Bleu, a 3-year-old business owner, model, and lifestyle influencer, from Florida. I’m well known in the kid’s influencer/fashion arena. Alongside my mom, we create lifestyle content for kids and families. I am the CEO of World of Skylar, which is the umbrella to various ventures that will unfold in the near future. 

My first influencer partnership took place four months after my first birthday in January of 2020, but modeling fashion and creating content instantly began on my social media platforms via my mother, once I was born. I have partnered with numerous brands over the past 2 years from January of 2020 to present, including PR/Travel partnerships. I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to different cities and states for partnerships, but Orlando is one of my favorite cities! Some of my favorite Orlando PR/Travel partnerships are Legoland Florida Theme Park & Water Park; The Pearl Express Train Ride at ICON Park; Fun Spot America Theme Parks; Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews; Crayola Experience; Madame Tussaud’s Orlando; Wonderworks; Planet Hollywood; Giordano’s Pizza; Brio Italian Grille; Sugar Factory; Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy!; Peppa Pig Theme Park; Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament; The Wheel at ICON Park; In The Game ICON Park; Sea Life Orlando Aquarium and Museum of Illusions Orlando. 

My social media is managed by my mother. With her love and gift of discernment, I trust that she can make the best decisions for my brand and myself. She’s typically responsible for setting content strategy and driving engagement on my social platforms. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, but possesses a natural ability for storytelling, has a keen eye for design, and an ability to analyze what does well with an audience and what doesn’t. 

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the beginning, as an influencer, you struggle with how am I going to grow my brand, how to build my audience, how to increase engagement, and how to obtain brand partnerships. Influence is built through trust and authentic engagement, which isn’t so easy to build over social media as it is in person, merely revealing why the influencer market has proven to be more than a just a simple exchange activity. 

I think being authentic in my engagement with my audience and my recommendations while providing a valued opinion, helped me build my reputation within my market. They trust me to help them find whatever it is that they’re seeking. The more I have in common with my audience in their day-to-day lives, where our tastes and values align, the more likely they are to follow my advice on where to travel, which restaurants to dine at, style inspiration, and which toys are educational/fun and more.

The most effective strategy in growing my clientele of brand partnerships is remaining authentic and consistent with my content, while also growing a community who trusts and loves it. As my clientele sees more people continuing to discover and connect with my content, as well as it having the ability to provide impact, this in turn, allows brands to view my credibility as an influencer, ultimately seeing me as a great fit for their marketing campaigns. 

As you know, we’re big fans of World of Skylar. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
As a Lifestyle Influencer, my content provides my audience with fashion and products they are sure to find useful, as well as travel, restaurants & adventures that are sure to provide them with memorable experiences with their loved ones. It’s taken from the point of view of a child with the tag along of her family that relays not only to youth but an array of ages. I hope to bring smiles and new adventures to the faces behind the screen that invest a portion of their time to follow my socials, view my content and continue to support my journey. I am extremely proud of the growth of my brand within these past 2 years, not only with brand partnerships but with other ventures/opportunities that have presented themselves that I cannot wait to embark on and share! 

My business, World of Skylar, does not only entail of being a social media influencer, but it is the umbrella to various ventures that will unfold in the near future. I’m currently working on my fashion line, which I enjoy creating concepts, selecting fabrics, and actually sewing on my own sewing machine. Some may say, but she’s only 3 years old! My family says that I am wise beyond my years and I can do whatever I put my mind to, regardless of my age. My parents want me to contribute as much as I can to personalize my line and show that even a 3-year-old can be a fashion designer/seamstress. I love learning and being that I am the CEO of World of Skylar, my parents want me to learn as much as I can regarding every aspect of my business along the way. As long as it’s fun, I’m there! 

What matters most to you?
My relationship with God, my family, and education matters most to me. My parents constantly speak to me about the love of God, they have taught me how to pray and to always keep God first. They always remind me that, what’s for me is for me and no one can take that away. My family is my support system. They are my number one fan, they love me unconditionally and will always do their best to guide me in the right direction. My parents always tell me, “Education is the key!” At the age of 2, I taught myself sign language, I learned how to read and write, say my alphabet in Spanish, as well as count and say phrases in Spanish and German. At age 3, I am currently on a 2nd-grade math level. I love when learning is fun and enjoy learning new things.
