Hi Star, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hey there, my name is Ericka Mcintosh I go by Star Ericka.
II was a former correctional officer dedicated to transforming lives. I loved my job but hated clocking in, hated the limitations that working put on the life I wanted to live. Steadily getting denied for home loans, forced to go to buy here pay here dealerships buying trash cars resulting in 3 repossessions.
I knew this wasn’t the life God had planned for me. I begin to learn about financial freedom and the power of credit and begin repairing my own credit. After successfully removing 14 collections and 2 out of 3 repossessions I was approved for a home loan, my car insurance was lowered and I was able to refinance my car all in 6 months of each other. I knew then, I had hit the jackpot. The jackpot of wealth through knowledge and implementation.
At 24 years young, during the start of the pandemic, I quit my job to continue transforming lives outside of the walls of the prison and started my company “the millionaire table”. In 4-5 months leaving I had made my prison yearly salary twice! I had helped so many people close on homes including my mom, get new cars with little to no money down, low-interest rates, high limit credit cards and more. My clients too went from denial after denial to approval after approval!
It made me so happy seeing my clients succeed, seeing the impact credit had on their lives, educating them as I repaired their credit that I decided to share all of my secrets and opened a virtual school teaching how to repair credit, financial literacy, starting Airbnb, business credit, trademarking and more. I pretty much teach things that we’re not taught in schools, things we’re not taught in college. I wanted to make a difference. I not only service clients but I’m also an educator, an advocate for positivity, a leader by example at now 26.
I really think it’s important to show others in our community the power of credit and knowledge to bring about a change. I built a brand off faith, trust and transparency. I literally failed my way to success so that others don’t have to. God knew I could handle it and he knew I’d come back and share the wealth of knowledge
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been the smoothest journey but I’m grateful. I’ve had days I’ve been thousands, then days I’ve made $0. The most I’ve ever made was OVER $45k in a month, $35k of that in 18 days!
Perseverance, faith, prayer and patience has truly kept me because when you’re making 5 figures a month, and then things slow down you get disconnected and discouraged
