Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor McConachie.
Hi Taylor, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m from Alabama, born and raised. I attended school for Esthetics in Muscle Shoals, AL. I graduated and became licensed and quickly after began working for a well-established medical spa in Auburn, AL. I’m very grateful that straight out of school, I was able to receive a ton of great hands on training and experience in specialty treatments like laser skin treatments, laser hair removal, microneedling, chemical peels, and advanced facials while working at the medspa. I worked there for six years before moving to Orlando, FL in 2018.
Moving to a completely new state was very scary, but it presented the opportunity for me to go into business for myself and share my knowledge and expertise with the people of Orlando! I fully embraced it and now have an amazing business where I get to positively impact people’s lives through helping them properly care for their skin.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being an entrepreneur is not easy. Struggles come along with process of growing a business, but I find them to be incredible learning experiences. Shortly after opening my business, I was met with the shutdown that the pandemic brought upon us all and I won’t lie and say I wasn’t a bit nervous about what would happen to my very hands on business. Being an Esthetician, I touch faces for a living. It’s a huge part of what I do to help heal my clients’ skin. I had to pivot and find another way to help people without ever meeting them in person or touching their skin and that’s when my virtual skincare services were born! My business actually GREW during the shutdown. I am so grateful.
We’ve been impressed with Reveal Skincare, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Reveal Skincare, beauty + wellness, is a holistic skincare practice where I treat the skin by paying respect to the whole body. I help educate my clients so that they can heal their skin from the inside out. I empower my clients so that they are left feeling in complete control of their skin. We dive deep into my clients’ lifestyle, diet, stress management, and I really listen to their concerns. I customize individualized skincare plans that address these concerns and lead to long-lasting results.
I love treating all skin concerns and conditions but am known for healing acne prone skin and acne scarring. Clients struggling with acne have usually been to countless doctors and thrown on countless medications before coming to see me as their last resort. It breaks my heart and I definitely have a soft spot for anyone feeling defeated by their skin condition. Because of my virtual skincare services, I have been able to not only successfully help countless people locally here in Orlando heal their acne but also others all over the U.S.
I’m most proud of my customization of skincare treatments to each individual. Not one of my facials is ever the same. As it should always be!
