Today we’d like to introduce you to Terri West.
Hi Terri, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Well, I have been an entrepreneur for as long as I can remember I recall selling candy bars and five gum at my elementary playground during recess it was at that moment a hustler was born. But aside from that I grew up seeing my family members not being afraid to step out on their own and actually use the talents that God gave them. From early on I knew which is so funny now because it’s like totally cool to be a girl boss.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a girl boss has not been a smooth road by a long shot! In the type of business that I am in a lot of people have tried to single me out because of age and in some cases being a woman. There have even been times of men making sexual advances and prying on me being young. Just because you are young that does not mean that you have to be naïve keep your eyes open people are ruthless! But ultimately my biggest struggle was not knowing the value that I have and how much of an asset I can be. I have had people scam my business I have had people aim to tarnish my reputation but nonetheless I persisted.
As you know, we’re big fans of West End Co. and Glam Life Co.. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Well first and foremost West End Co. is my latest business baby it is a business consulting, marketing agency and, financial advisory firm all in one. With West End Co. I aim to create business power houses that actually put systems in place to allow businesses to flourish into corporations. The financial advisory portion is the latest branch because I notice that a lot of people open businesses but they tend to have a terrible relationship with their finances and that effects your business in the long run. And last but certainly not least Glam Life Co. is where I showcase my influencer and model talents I started Glam Life Co. because I didn’t want to just share my life with my followers and post meaningless pictures of random things. I then decided I want to make an impact and build relationships with my followers and make the best of alternative networking means. Expanding my social media reach has presented so many opportunities including jobs and being flown out for events and much more.
How do you define success?
I define success by being able to meet God one day and God saying well done because I used every gift that he gave me and was able to impact someone else positively and put them in a better predicament.
