Hi Thereza, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey as a translator began after a personal challenge — I suffered a miscarriage while living in a foreign country where I didn’t speak the language fluently. I promised myself that one day, I would help anyone facing a similar situation.
Since then, I’ve served as a translator and interpreter for my country’s embassy in three different nations where I’ve lived. Here in Central Florida, I’ve found a great need for qualified translators, given the large immigrant community. I specialize in legal and medical translation and work fluently in five languages: English, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Spanish.
I later became a Notary Public, Apostille Facilitator, and Loan Signing Agent. This allows me to notarize documents in multiple languages, facilitate apostilles in all U.S. states for use around the world, and handle loan signings for real estate transactions.
I offer mobile services — I can come to your home, office, or any location you prefer. I’ve even notarized documents in jail — there’s truly never a dull day! My goal is to offer convenience, because time is our greatest asset. You can always earn more money, but you can’t get your time back.
I’m a proud mum of two amazing young adults (21 and 19), both studying at Florida universities (FSU and UCF). After my divorce, I began a journey of self-discovery and realized there’s nothing I can’t do. I currently serve on the Board of the Brazilian American Council, in partnership with the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce. It would be my honor to assist anyone who chooses to work with me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to success is never without bumps — but every challenge has shaped who I am today. Being a solo mum has been both my greatest test and my greatest source of strength. With no support system in this country, I had to build everything from the ground up — my business, my confidence, and a new life for my family. There were moments of exhaustion and doubt, but giving up was never an option.
As my kids grew, so did I. I learned to turn obstacles into lessons and fear into determination. Today, I’m proud to say that everything I’ve built is the result of resilience, faith, and love. My children’s support fuels me every day, and my clients’ trust reminds me that I’m walking the right path.
Because in the end, success isn’t about having a smooth road — it’s about having the courage to keep moving forward, no matter how rough the journey gets.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Believe in yourself and trust your gut instincts. Even when people tell you can’t do it, or tell you to just go get a job. Listen to your heart. There is absolutely NOTHING we can’t do. Is it easy? Not by a long shot, but it’s not impossible either. Educate yourself and start small. Trust me, you will get to where you want.
