Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracey Rinehart.
Hi Tracey, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
After a long stressful day at work walking up to feed and hearing the calm and a whiny just took all the stress away.
Years of making notes and writing down my dreams has slowly became a reality.
In 2009 I became a Lake Co 4-H Volunteer for our daughter to get more involved in her education of horses and agriculture. Today, I am as fueled as I was back then. The kids inspire me to learn more, be a better person and continue to keep up with all these animals have to offer.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Finances and weather are the challenges.
Convincing Rod that we need one more building or fence. Having that partner that is willing to help you make your visions a reality is not always easy and I commend him for all he puts up with.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our goal in life is to make a difference! Our family farm, Lil’ Bit of Life’s mission is to provide healing with a little help from our 4-legged friends.
At Lil’ Bit of Life we share our farm in many different ways!
We’ve been home of the G.R.I.T.S. 4-H CLUB since 2009 & continue to provide this engaging approach to agriculture & civic engagement.
We host educational field trips for schools, groups & our community.
BSA Scouts can achieve their Merit Badges in Horsemanship, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Farm Mechanics, Nature & Camping at our location. Girl Scouts can horse around and earn their badge. We are an approved vendor.
Farm Schooling & Horse’n Around Camps are where youth can learn what it’s like to run a farm.
Customize a memorable birthday celebration or event with us and let us take care of all the work! Basically, you dream it, we can make it happen.
We truly enjoy going off-site to visit Assisted Living facilities with our loving & nurturing animals sure to provide comfort & provide smiles to many faces.
We will work to make your desired farm experience happen for you, your families and your business!
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Our “hidden gem” is off the beaten path full of mossy oaks that provide lots of shade.
Our array of animals are great teachers and very relaxing to be around. We have a great picnic area with lots of shade and covered in turf. Great youth volunteers that love giving tours and earning their leadership skills and building their confidence.
