Today we’d like to introduce you to Valentin Gonzalez.
Hi Valentin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I came to the United States seven years ago, with a mechanical engineering degree from my country, Venezuela. I started working as a mechanical technician in different companies, including SeaWorld attraction park, and after a while, I decided to open my own remodeling company. I have always thought that if you work for yourself, success will only depend on the effort you put into achieving your goals and objectives. The sky is the limit. Working with my remodeling business, I met an investor who taught me all about remodeling, property analysis, and how to analyze foreclosures and MLS listings. Sometime after understanding how the real estate market worked and knowing the money involve in real estate, I decided to get my realtor license.
Once I had it, I set out to find a broker where I could start working and grow as a real estate agent. Since day one, I have been trying to learn and get better. I already got a PSA certification, which is a Pricing Strategic Advisor and SFR The Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource. Both are certifications granted by the National Association of Realtors. It has been an amazing journey, having the opportunity to help so many families, and Is very gratifying change people’s life. Besides that, I always had in my mind not just to help people, but to help the planet. I’m all in with clean energy, so I start a journey also into the residential solar energy business. I had the change to help families pay less for the electric bill and increasing the value of the property and so many things. Is a great way to save money and help the planet.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not easy at all. I had moments on this road where I was counting cents to pay for gas or food. I remember buying in the subway just the combo of the day cause it was cheaper to share with my wife and son cause I had no more money. In the beginning, I and my family had to adapt fast to be able to survive and grow in this country. Starting for the language was a big challenge that I had to overcome. Also, the opportunities for immigrants are really hard. However, you have to step up and show what you are able to do and to prove what you are made of.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about G World Properties?
My company is called G World Properties. It is a real estate broker. We help clients to buy or sell properties. We take care of the entire process so that the client does not have to worry about anything. We make our clients feel part of the family. In any situation that the client is in, we offer a work plan that ensures that you can have your own home as soon as possible. I specialize in helping first buyers, where I see families who do not have knowledge of how the process works or how to prepare, and I make sure to teach them in detail about how the process is and how to get the most out of it for the benefit of my client. From the first moment, I am committed to them that we will achieve the goal no matter how long it takes us since owning a home in the United States is the dream of many and is a great investment in life. The way we work is to meet in-person to create a relationship and understand exactly the situation of the client. What was your favorite childhood memory?
I use to play a lot with my family and friends on my farm. I use to raise horses back in my country. I remember in big gatherings with my family on the farm riding horses, cleaning them, feeding them, and enjoying those great animals. Is something that I will try to get again in the future. And give my kids the opportunity to live what I live.
