Community Highlights: Meet Valeria Palov of eXp Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Valeria Palov.

Hi Valeria, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I was born in Bulgaria and moved to the US when I was 9 years old. I lived in Maryland until I graduated high school and moved to Florida right after. At the age of 20, I was blessed with my daughter. I finished my AA degree and chose to put a pause on school. I felt that working and going to school was taking too much time away from raising my daughter. In 2015 I got certified as a yoga instructor because I enjoyed doing yoga but it’s not something that I do for a living. I currently work as a realtor in Orlando and I just registered to go back to school for my bachelor’s in interior design.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road! The main challenge was me. I suffered a lot of trauma in my life and it caused me to become my own obstacle. I had to become aware of how the trauma has affected me so that I could start my healing journey to overcome those wounds.

As you know, we’re big fans of eXp Realty. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a real estate agent and I work with people to help them achieve their dream of home ownership. I pride myself in being honest and conducting business with integrity. I am extremely solution-oriented, diligent, and patient. If there is a solution to a problem, I will find it. I live for that joyful feeling that my clients experience when they purchase or sell their home.

What’s next?
I recently registered for school, so I plan on obtaining my bachelor’s in interior design and I hope to tie that into Real Estate. I try not to focus too much on the future because you never know what will happen. I just do what feels right in the present moment and trust that it will lead me down the right path.
