Community Highlights: Meet Veronica Nater of That Fit Mom, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Nater.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
Well, have you ever felt like a stranger to yourself? Unrecognizable? This was me. I began my health journey when my son turned one. I realized I was still wearing maternity clothes, struggling with excess weight, dealing with digestive problems, and having many mindset issues. As a mom of two beautiful children, wife to a supportive, loving husband, and child of God, I was still unhappy. Something was missing. Something was wrong, but I hid it well. I began to experience what I never thought I would ever experience, depression. Those were dark moments, and not many people in my circle ever noticed. But deep down, I knew I couldn’t wait for someone to save me.

When I hit rock bottom, I told myself I only had one way to go… up! I decided to change my life, conquered my thoughts, and made minor changes every day. I put in the effort and let go of the idea of perfection. I embraced trial and error, and I’m proud to say that I did not only lose weight but I’ve been able to maintain a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.

Why did I choose to coach? I know the struggle of juggling family and personal life while health quickly takes the backseat. I firmly believe that everyone deserves more than just wondering daily, “What if?”. I discovered my passion for weight loss coaching during my health journey. I started helping women around me achieve their goals, which felt amazing! They began referring to me as “that fit mom,” which brought me so much joy. Shortly after, I studied and became a certified personal trainer to make it official. Since then, I’ve helped many women, locally and nationally, embark on their own fitness journeys, and I absolutely adore seeing them succeed! I hope to continue making an impact, doing what I love educating, inspiring, encouraging, challenging, and empowering women to become a better version of themselves.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a blessing so far. Ups and downs, for sure. But honestly my most significant struggle has been self-doubt. Sometimes, ‘over-thinking’ has stopped me from walking through doors of opportunity and reaching personal goals.

Great, so let’s talk business. Please tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others.
That Fit Mom, LLC was born out of hope, the hope that I didn’t realize I was depriving myself of. When I realized I was worthy enough, everything began to change, and my hope was restored. One of the ways I like to celebrate my story of hope is by sharing that I’ve been #SavedByJesusAndBarbells. It’s easy to give credit to ordinary fitness ideas. But I’d be lying if I said my transformation was achieved only through diet and exercise. The change that lasts is the one that begins on the inside.

I aim to empower moms and women who feel hopeless to change their perspective and begin loving themselves enough to care for their beautiful, solid, God-given bodies. We connect well; I’ve already been in their shoes and know how it all feels. I know the struggle, but I also know the victory! There is no need for strict crash diets or hours at the gym. I am here to simplify weight loss for all. Perfection isn’t needed, only genuine effort. That Fit Mom, LLC is proud to have in-person and online coaching options for all women interested in a fundamental transformation rooted in the heart.
