Hi Bashemath, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in the beauty industry at a very early age as a Freelance Makeup Artist. Being a makeup artist and learning the skin from a canvas perspective is what led me to become an Esthetician. I didn’t just want to make my clients feel beautiful by only applying makeup to their skin, I also wanted to be able to educate them on how to take care of their skin properly and love their skin and feel beautiful even when the makeup comes off!
Therefore I went to Esthetics school to become a Licensed Esthetician after I graduated. I decided to go the Holistic route. And further my education as a Holistic Esthetician so that I can provide my clients with treatments and knowledge on how to take care of their skin from the inside out. Which also inspired me to create my Organic Skincare line BeautiesBasement Skincare, after studying more about skincare products. I wanted to create a line of products that are free of toxins and chemicals that will help people to have overall healthy skin! My products are made from all-natural ingredients and are handcrafted by me, a Licensed Holistic Esthetician!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all! Starting your own business and being an Entrepreneur period was a day to day struggle for me at first. When I first started out, I didn’t get one sell my first month in, I almost got discouraged. But I knew overall I had great products and all I had to do was stay consistent! and as of now, I can say that my skincare business is now exceeding my own expectations in just a few months of being in business! Even though I still have a long way to go from reaching my ultimate goals. All in all, I’m grateful for how far I’ve come and to whoever may be reading this no matter your struggles just keep going.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
By me being in the Beauty Industry for so long, a lot of people don’t know that I’m a Tomboy at heart. I like outdoor adventures, from hiking to playing football. I’m a nature person to I love to just sit by a lake a listen to the water!
