Today we’d like to introduce you to CJ Wise.
Hi CJ, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
As a young child, I had the uncanny ability to pick up on things before they’d happen. This freaked my family out a bit, and so for a long time, I kept this secret to myself. When I reached high school, I learned Tarot. I’d read the cards during my lunch break for friends and even some teachers, which was all the rage in an all-girls Catholic school. Over the years, I’d call on these gifts to assist people who depended on me for spiritual guidance.
I didn’t consider what I did as a business until 2017 when a long-term client asked if I had a business card that she could pass along to a friend. Up until this point, my services were word of mouth, and I wasn’t sure if I was ready to fly my freak flag. At the urging of my husband, I decided to set up a website and work on my elevator pitch. As I developed my side hustle, my 9-5 with the hotel industry became a challenge. Then March 2020 happened and the world changed. I was furloughed from my twenty-year career and engulfed in sadness, anger, and confusion. It was during this difficult time that I leaned on my spiritual gifts. I was ecstatic when my holistic business truly began to thrive. I have clients who visit my website regularly, as well as four other sites that I mentor on. The outpouring of support has been surreal and I feel blessed having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all over the world.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’m naturally an introvert and putting myself out there to get my business seen just really isn’t my strong suit. I recently hired someone to oversee my social media platforms because, quite honestly, I can’t make heads or tails of it. I don’t want to get caught up in trying to be someone other than myself in an attempt to promote my business. I pretty much collaborate with my assistant twice a week and she takes my ideas and just runs with it. I’m happy because I’m left in the Shire where I am free to focus on my clients and the herbal blends that I create.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Through intuitive guidance, meditation, energy therapies, and relationship counseling. I provide my clients with the tools necessary to remove the obstacles that prevent them from creating the life they deserve! I believe that we are indeed capable of living the life that we’ve envisioned for ourselves. No one should be a passive observer of their own life. If someone is not living their life to its fullest potential, I help them to jump-start their passion and change their life. My clients tell me that chatting with me is just like talking to a good friend. I don’t use new-age jargon or ruin the conversation with judgement. I speak from spirit and offer a supportive outlook for each situation.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family is surely my cheering squad. They have supported and believed in me since the beginning. Whether it’s my husband drawing me a hot bath after a busy day or my daughters chiming in that my latest post was inspiring… they’ve all had a hand in me not throwing in the towel. My family accepts my peculiarities and enjoys the vibe of my business.
