Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Cribb.
Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always liked to bake growing up. My great great grandmother owned a bakery in New York City. Some say I’m her, reincarnated. In college, I attended culinary school under a baking and pastry management degree. For my internship, I learned cake decorating at another well-known bakery in the Orlando area. This is really where I learned my craft and fell in love with cake decorating. Not to mention, I was pretty good at it and had no idea! I branched off and started my own cake boutique back in 2017. Here I am now after 10+ years and a pandemic still in business and thriving!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Leaving my old job and starting my own company as my own boss has been hard. It’s hard, hard work but completely worth it. I love being able to complete somebody’s special day whether it’s a wedding, birthday, etc. Not to mention, we made it through a pandemic! I must have made some great business decisions along the way. We are here to stay!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We are a custom cake boutique where we specialize in any type of custom cake. Our biggest specialty is that we work with buttercream. Tastes better and way more budget friendly than fondant. In my opinion, anyway. I am most proud of our consistency in everything we do. It’s me and my amazing employee, Rosa. You are paying for a quality product as well as fast and easy communication. I’d like to think that’s what sets us apart. I’ve worked in customer service for years and years. If you get a cake from me, you are a part of my cake family.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is that each customer gets what they pay for. Every customer and their order is important to me.
