Today we’d like to introduce you to Priya Shah.

Hi Priya, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My love and passion for Henna started when I was in college. I was good at art and doodles so tried my hand in Henna and loved it. I used to do small designs on my friends and family and get some extra pocket money. Then got married and came to USA. I was in St. Petersburg Florida. All most every Saturday and Sunday we used to go to BAPS Mandir in Tampa and there, I used to do small designs on ladies as Seva.

From there, my journey for full-time Henna started. I started getting referrals one by one. I started from small parties to Bridals right now. My husband helped me a lot more than words can explain in what and where I am with my love for Henna and he still is. And 12 years ago, we moved from St Petersburg to Orlando. My business flourished more once we moved to Orlando. The smile and happiness that I see on my Brides when I am finished doing their Henna make it totally worth it. I LOVE what I do and will keep doing it till I can.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a smooth journey with the grace of God.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Bridal Henna artist. I specialize in Bridal Henna and Saree Drapings. I am known for my custom Bridal designs and various types of Saree drapings that I offer. I offer custom Henna designs for my Brides. They send me pictures and ideas that they have and then I make the custom design for them and that’s exactly what I am known for. The most I am proud of are all of my Brides. The way they show off my Henna designs to all their family and friends and photographers makes me happy and proud thinking they loved their Henna on their Big day and I did a good job. That is the best satisfaction you can get by making someone happy. What sets me apart is I take each and every wedding as a part of my own. If you see my Henna designs, they are all different and none of them are the same. That sets me apart as I am a custom Bridal Henna artist.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters the most to me is to make my Bride happy and satisfied on her wedding day.
