Today we’d like to introduce you to Siera Duiser.
Hi Siera, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I graduated from the Universal of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Brain, Behavior, and Cognitive Sciences and was applying for Master’s programs when I realized that my heart was in travel. I had already explored most of the U.S. and had been to 13 countries and was eager to share my experiences with others. I began working part-time as a travel agent, selling Disney destinations but have now branched out to book cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and so much more!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The pandemic has been, by far, the most challenging part of my career. I had to deal with hundreds of canceled and rescheduled vacations for my guests dealing with closures, travel restrictions, and more.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a travel agent. I specialize in family travel and romance travel. I help my guests plan the vacation of their dreams, anywhere in the world, at no additional cost to them. I recently became part of Travel Agent’s 30 Under 30, Class of 2020. I have consistently been a top seller at my agency and recognized for my achievements. I have been featured in BRIDES magazine, Redbook magazine, and Huffington Post.
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I am dedicated to my career and my guests. My travel business is not just a hobby or side hustle. It is what I have built a successful career and I am proud to help my guests. I am always available to my guests to help them with their vacation plans every step of the way.
