Conversations with Tiffany Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Adams.

Hi Tiffany, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When planning for my wedding, I wanted a few things when it came to my flowers. I wanted something I could keep and have as a lasting memory. I wanted something that would match the blues and whites of what I had planned for my wedding colors. And I wanted something that wasn’t silk. I sought out silk flower alternatives until I ran across a material called sola wood which is a delicate wood made from the tapioca plant and thought they might do the trick! I worked on color matching to the dress fabrics and thought that it might be interesting to list some of my creations on Etsy to see if anyone else was looking for the same! What began as a solution for my wedding woes quickly became a solution for others too!

Since starting on Etsy in 2015, Pine and Petal has made over 10,000 collections! We love celebrating all occasions though and recently launched our Market website which delivers handmade lasting flower arrangements right to your doorstep or to someone you love.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As with all businesses, the road has not been paved! While some gain success overnight from randomly going viral, we have had to work tirelessly to grow. We expand our color palette and flower style offerings every year. We also constantly are participating in styled shoots with other local vendors to create new content to share with our followers. From my perspective, the biggest struggles have been seen over the past year when brides haven’t been able to plan larger gatherings or the weddings they had been hoping for.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We provide an alternative to the mainstream floral without sacrificing the quality or look of real flowers. Our flowers also last which adds additional value of not having to throw out flowers that you spend a lot of money on after a few days, and they provide beauty and joy all year round. Customization, variety, and personalization are hallmarks of what make our company exciting and fun when it comes to purchasing flowers from Pine and Petal. You can choose your own flower styles, colors, foliage, wrappings, backings, designs, vases, and much more!

Our flowers are also budget friendly and everything is made with love. We have a genuine passion for what we do and want everyone to have beautiful lasting flowers that provide them with joy and happiness.

All of our creations and designs are handmade and designed to last as special keepsakes for many years to come. We offer custom options for brand new designs or the ability to customize our existing creations to make them your own. None of our flower styles are ever out of season and if you option to use faux foliage then everything is hypoallergenic. Our flowers are eco-friendly as well, the wood is sourced from a plant that regrows. We can dye the flowers in over 80 colors and have over 50 flower styles to choose from. Our flowers are designed to last and next to zero maintenance making them easy to keep looking beautiful all year round. We offer free scenting to mimic real flowers or apply a fun scent such as cupcake, pumpkin pie, mistletoe, lemon, birthday cake, etc. We ship all across the country so if you have a destination wedding or want to send a gift to a friend or family member far away, we can ship directly to your location of choice. We can create replica bouquets. If you had your wedding in the past and want that special keepsake recreated, we can work with you on recreating your flowers from your wedding. We keep orders on file in case you ever want to expand your floral collection later while preserving the flower styles, colors, foliage, etc. that was used in your original creation.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
Resiliency. No business is without its challenges and for us, we have grown to be resilient. Every day we are faced with a new challenge from figuring out how to expand our operations and keep or increase the beautiful quality we are known for to customer service.
