Today we’d like to introduce you to A Cartier.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’ve been a music listener since as long as I can remember; my music palette has been diverse for as long as I can remember; from Nirvana to Michael Jackson I’ve always loved music and all kinds of musical expression. In high school, I was in my school choir, and we would go on competitions to different venues ranging from cathedrals all the way to Carnegie Hall in NYC. Due to being in this choir, I gained a liking towards experimenting with my vocals and writing songs and the process behind shows and preparations, rehearsals; it felt exciting, so exciting that I wanted to find a way to do it outside of school and after I graduate.
After Highschool I decided to write music and sing original songs I’d make, I kept trying what was the best method and style of music for me to begin with so I can develop some type of sound. After 2 years of going to events, parties, different studios, and meeting people from different walks of life from all over the world, I’ve made friends, lost friends, but after a while, I’ve developed the greatest team possible comprised of the realest of the realest.
From not thinking I could make 1,000 plays on SoundCloud, I made it possible through the grace of the most high and the law of attraction to currently have over 500,000 listeners and over 3,000,000 streams on major platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There’s never a smooth road when reaching a hard goal; at times, it could be easier than others, but it’s a constant grind. I view things like a frequency; it can be good or bad at times; I also look at it like a checker board floor; I might be standing on a white tile one day and a black tile the next, but that’s life and the beauty of it, you have to make the best out of any type of energy you are dealt with.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m proud that I’m able to help out others in positions that can help them gain the light and exposure. Seeing my people get to where they want to be is what drives me; helping others and spreading good energy is the main goal; making an impact, making great timeless music; and, of course, make bread(gotta keep it real)
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Be a nice person; nobody likes someone with an ego, don’t think you’re better than anyone, spread good energy. Be a people person but be genuine and natural at it. Don’t be an Asshole
