Today we’d like to introduce you to Anggibel Flores
Hi Anggibel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m currently 23 years old and I’ve been living in Orlando for almost 4 years now. I was born in Valencia, Venezuela and I came to the United States five years ago, specifically to the city of Miami, Florida, when I was 18 years old. At that time, I knew very few people here and didn’t have any family in the U.S. I was the third person in my family to make the decision to emigrate and the first one to come to the United States. Much was said about how difficult it was to start a life here, especially being so young and having little life experience, but it had always been one of my dreams to live in this country. Today, looking back, I feel proud of all the obstacles and challenges I overcame and all the experiences—both good and bad—that taught me so much and shaped the person I am today. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel happy to be here and I’m so grateful to this country that welcomed me with open arms and has given me so many amazing people, opportunities, and experiences.
As for my start on social media, I’d say I was always drawn to that world, but it wasn’t until about a year ago that I started to take it more seriously. Like many creators, at one point, I felt self-conscious and worried about what people might say, but I’m happy I left those thoughts behind to focus on creating content that many people, primarily Spanish speakers, can connect with and enjoy. I love creating videos for TikTok and Instagram, sharing my life, favorite places, and experiences. I still have a lot of room to grow and learn, but I’m excited to see what God has in store for my future.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s truly been like a rollercoaster. There have been times of creative blocks and personal situations that required more of my attention. However, I always find a way to return to social media, creating improved and relatable content for my followers. One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced along the way has been related to mental health and moments when I’m not at my best. But, thanks to God, I have the incredible support of my family, friends, and followers, which allows me to come back with the best energy, feeling grateful and happy for the community I’ve built step by step and that will continue to grow.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I think I’m mostly known for my funny content. I love creating videos using popular audios on TikTok and Instagram. However, I’m also very passionate about beauty content, including makeup, skincare, and haircare, and I’ll be sharing more about that soon on my platforms. I also enjoy sharing videos about restaurants and experiences in Orlando with my community.
In the future, I’d like to venture into content about mental health. It’s a topic that’s very personal to me and one I’m deeply passionate about. I’d love to inspire people and provide more information about it. If you ask what sets me apart from other creators, I’d say it’s my authenticity. I’ve shared both the good and not-so-good moments of my life with my community to show my followers that life is often imperfect. It’s full of highs and lows, but the important thing is to get back up and keep fighting for your dreams. I also want to show that you don’t need luxurious items or the latest technology and equipment to create content. All you need is your phone, motivation, and the courage to stop worrying about what others will say. Once you overcome the fear of starting and focus on your dreams, it’s incredible how amazing things start to happen in your life.
I am proud of my work on social media and how it has grown over time. Although there have been moments when I’ve had to put it aside temporarily to focus on other areas of my life, I love seeing how my community welcomes me back with open arms, supporting my content as always and motivating me to keep working on my dreams.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
For me, success is being happy with your achievements, accepting that the journey wasn’t easy, and thanking God for the obstacles He placed along the way, which I overcame with His help and that taught me valuable lessons.
Success, to me, is having a voice that adds value to my community and knowing that what I do inspires many people daily. It’s showing them that anything is possible when you focus on your dreams and put God first to guide you on the path to achieving the goals and dreams in your heart.
