Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Craft.
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been a Disney fan for life — grew up in Anaheim, CA near Disneyland and did two Disney College Programs in Florida. In 2017 I started a Disney blog and started making copycat Disney recipes. In 2019 I decided to try to publish a book of Disney copycat recipes and was able to secure an agent and a publisher to make it happen. Now my first book The Unofficial Disney Parks Cookbook is a best seller and has sold over a quarter million copies!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have had a pixie-dusted path for sure! This book has been incredibly well received and I’m so proud of it!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a cookbook author and super geek. I love fandoms and theme parks and just being my authentic self all the time!
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Unlike most people, Covid afforded me more opportunities than I expected. Since the Disney Parks were closed, more people bought my books to recreate the magic at home.
