Conversations with Bobbi Whitmore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bobbi Whitmore.

Hi Bobbi, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Traveling the world as a flight attendant gave me a birdseye view of the women of the world and how they relate to fashion. What started as a side hussle for a flight attendant has turned into a full fledged business and leader in the communtiy. We are 16 years strong. Five amazing women who support other women and the causes they believe in.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Retail is never a smooth road. There are ebbs and flows along the way. How you are able to react is the key. Right now it is the sluggish economy and the fact that people shop differently than they have in the past.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I studied Clothing and Textiles/Fashion Merchandising in college but initially chose a different path as a Flight Attendant. I had a fabulous 39 year career as a flight attendant but never strayed far from the fashion/retail world.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love my little Village. I have always been an advocate of the potential of this gem of a retail onclave. “Believe in the Village”!!!
