Conversations with Bre Gobin

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bre Gobin.

Hi Bre, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Hi there! I am the owner/head creator of Nomadic Fete (traveling party), which was originally created in 2016 in my hometown of Lithonia, GA. My vision was to develop a business that encompassed my passion for art with my love for celebrating.

At the time, my creativity was being pulled in multiple directions and I never fully focused on a business plan. In May 2018, I moved to Florida for work and solidified what I always knew I had to do… create for myself. That is when I launched Nomadic Fete and my journey as an entrepreneur began. At the time, I didn’t have many resources and was very unsure where it would lead me but here I am three years later, excited about where my business will be three more years from now. 🙂

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Creating consistently for Nomadic Fete was the biggest hurdle I had to overcome. As a full-time graphic designer, I had to commit to devoting my spare time to building my brand. Once I made it a habit to create and promote my business, it became second nature and new ideas/ways of expanding are constantly coming to me. Starting and maintaining a business has definitely had its ups and downs but the reward has been far greater than any obstacle I have faced.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Nomadic Fete is a traveling Paint Party spreading the love, beauty and healing of art. We create paint kits that include (1) hand-drawn canvas, (3) brushes and (6) paint pots. We host paint parties for 2-24 persons in the comfort of your space with the option of virtual parties as well. Nomadic Fete loves a good theme and specializes in custom canvases for any event (birthday parties, socials, schools, camps, employee morale, etc.) Let’s Fete!!!

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I am an advocate for celebrating life and spreading good vibes, so collaborating with like-minded entrepreneurs is my JAM!! I align myself and my brand with positivity and immerse myself in the arts (from following other artist on social media, going to art shows and museums and being a part of art festivals) so that I am constantly inspired.

My family is my number one support system. They encourage me to follow my dreams and pursue my art career. I am blessed to have friends that support my art as well and are always referring me to others. Overall I would say having a solid support system is key. Focus on what you ultimately want for your business and everything else will start to fall in place.
