Conversations with Brennen Broyles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennen Broyles.

Brennen Broyles

Hi Brennen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My professional career started with the food industry. I was right out of high school and after spending a year in landscaping and irrigation, I was ready to get back in the A/C. A friend of mine helped me get a starting job with PDQ in Tampa and I learned over the next few years I had a passion for connecting with people.

About 4 years later, after moving into a management role representing PDQ in Amalie Arena as well as helping run the food and beverage side of the venue, I returned to PDQ for a chance to open my first location in the Waterford Lakes area of Orlando, right next to UCF!

Fast forward again, 6 more years had gone by, and I had been successful in running three different locations for better, producing positive cash flow, year-over-year sales growth, and healthier cultures across the board. I was eventually given the opportunity for a regional coach position where I oversaw half of central Florida while still running my own single unit as well.

Eventually, over the course of a 10-year career, I learned that my passion in the industry was fueled with the chance to meet new people and connect, help my team develop as people and leaders, and drive sales in my surrounding community. As me and my wife decided we wanted to finally grow our family, I knew that I needed to take my passion and skills in a direction that allowed me time to focus on being more present in my family, hence my career now in real estate!

My business today is as a Real Estate Agent in the Central Florida area. I try to focus on two things within what I’m doing daily. The first is that I love working with those that I connect with personally. As a 28-year-old with a wife, three dogs, our first little girl coming in April, and owners of our own home, I understand what that stage of life can look and feel like to most.

My second focus is on my side brand called The Stache. This is a podcast focused on two things. The first is just being able to connect with like-minded professionals in the industry to bring great knowledge and content to everyday people so that they have more information regarding their real estate goals. The second is a focus on Orange and Seminole County first responders. I bring in different guest to highlight their choice in their career and give them a spotlight they deserve for choosing to keep our communities safe.

I love meeting and talking with new people! I’m always open to having new conversations, bringing in new guests, and constantly looking to collaborate with like-minded people willing to help give back to those that serve and protect us on a regular basis or want to bring good information to the public.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s definitely been a wild ride. I think the biggest transition is that I went from running a business built around a product people couldn’t live without to helping people buy and sell a product that is a privilege to own. I’ve always worked as a business owner, but I’m now in a position where I genuinely am the owner of my business, and it has given me the freedom to do with my business what I want. It’s been a very fun journey so far as I’m building more of what my brand focus looks like and getting to dial everything in. I think a lesson I’m still trying to remind myself daily has been to learn that every productive day won’t look the same, and that is okay. One day may feel significantly busier than the next, but as long as I’m getting better every day, it’s a win.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m currently a Real Estate Agent, so I focus on helping buyers and sellers accomplish their real estate goals. I think a lot of the time, the industry can get a bad rep with the idea that all we do is open doors and write contracts, but having an agent that actually connects with you as a person can make a huge difference in your experience.

Right now, I think I am known for my focus on First Responders and the podcast/brand I’m building around The Stache. As much as I love my mustache, I do think it’s more of an iconic image for those in the professions I focus on, and it’s just another fun way to connect with them.

I think something that sets me apart from the others in my industry is I am genuinely in your corner 100% and try to relate to you as a person before a client or customer. I really just want to get to know you and your story and see what it’s going to take to represent you best. This is a field that requires a lot of communication and transparency, and I don’t want a client to feel like they didn’t get all the information or feel like I didn’t have their best interest at heart. Building the relationship is the goal. Buying or selling a home is just the byproduct.

What does success mean to you?
I don’t think success has a clock or time limit, and that is something that can be hard to gauge in this industry. I think on the surface level, buying or selling homes is what success looks like for us. The reality is, if I can connect with at least 4-5 people a day that has some form of genuine interest in either buying or selling a home, a first responder that has a story to tell, or a like-minded professional that wants to expand or create content that gives our community knowledge, I feel like success will follow.
