Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlos Dimas.
Hi Carlos, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a Venezuelan actor and dancer. I build my artistic career in my country. I was in more than 15 plays and also I create the workshop about body movement Tu Cuerpo Arte En Movimiento. Wich was very successful. Currently, I live in USA since a year ago. And it has been a new beginning
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I am very lucky man because my road has been smooth, nevertheless When you are an actor you confront yourself and you have to overcome fears and insecurities. I was a very shy boy Who discovered a great potential along the way
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My beginnings were dancing flamenco and then I decided to train as an actor and I built a career in theater, which is my great passion. I have been in more than 15 plays..
I create a workshop about movement and body motion that allows artists and non-artists to connect with their bodies through genuine movement and with their emotions
This workshop has been very successful and has been taken to vulnerable areas, theater groups, companies, and the Miss Venezuela organization.
Currently, I have been doing this workshop in Orlando with Artiko Espacio Creativo
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I was raised by my grandparents and my mom lived in another city. I was very happy when I saw her after a long time
