Today we’d like to introduce you to Danny Krikorian
Hi danny, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Danny K aka DannyKBeats is a Hip-Hop artist, producer and engineer from Orlando, FL who specializes in both Jazz Rap & Cloud Rap. Born in the Middle East, Danny K migrated to the U.S. in 1996. He fell in love with Hip-Hop at an early age and found a home in it. Raised by the culture, Danny K formed his own identity and brand. First he began producing at an early age on FL Studio and eventually transitioned to Logic Pro X. At the same time he cultivated his craft as a rapper and lyricist, inspired largely by the Golden Era. His career really unfolded in 2015 but his breakthrough began in 2021 upon the release of his self-produced single Handsome & Crisp. He has since dropped two albums that are currently in heavy rotation across the country and the globe. His third album is currently in the works.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My struggles are vast. From my immigration struggles growing up as a DACA recipient. I still can’t vote. Or leave the U.S. I met nefarious people in the industry too and that took a toll on me. Be careful. Trust your gut and act on it.
Eventually my struggles became medical. I now face health issues as doctors struggle to determine the cause it is likely a form of physical trauma.
Resources have been scarce. But part of the art is making do with what you have. I built myself from the ground up. It’s been a rough long road full of betrayal and trauma, but also joy and triumph.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in rapping, music production, audio engineering and instrumentation. I currently stand out for my brand which is multifaceted and yet cohesive and unified. My charisma and talent set me apart. When I walk in the room, it’s known. My gift is profound. And I’m blessed to say that.
