Today we’d like to introduce you to Enchii Saiko.
Hi Enchii, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Enchi Ho, also known as ENCHII SAIKO, is a filmmaker and editor based in Orlando, FL. His filmmaking journey began with shooting his own music videos and content as a music artist, initially as a means to promote his music. Over time, he discovered a deep passion for filmmaking and decided to pursue it full-time. Enchi started by capturing a variety of projects, from music videos to promotional content for friends’ clothing brands and local coffee shops.
To showcase his growing portfolio, he created a new page, @skowrld, where he posted his work. As his unique style and creative approach caught viewers’ attention, the page’s following began to rise rapidly. This surge in popularity led to collaborations with major brands, including Adobe Photoshop, which marked a turning point in his career. With the increased recognition, Enchi eventually joined VX MEDIA Talent Agency, solidifying his position in the industry and opening doors to even more exciting opportunities.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting SKOWRLD wasn’t easy. Initially, my Instagram struggled to gain traction, stuck at just 300 followers for months with hardly any views. This challenging period tested my resolve, but it also pushed me to keep creating and sharing content consistently. In the early days, I often worked for free, putting in countless hours without any recognition.
There have been setbacks too—like when my account was hacked. Thankfully, I managed to recover it, but these experiences taught me that nothing is handed to you in this industry. Success often comes from building strong connections and maintaining a solid online presence.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a content creator, director, and producer known for my captivating creativity in visual storytelling. My passion lies in creating mixed media video content with dynamic edits and transitions. My social media channels offer a diverse narrative that provides insight and motivation to my audience. My authenticity shines through my cinematic aesthetic, allowing me to emotionally connect with my viewers by sharing my art through genuine commentary. I am dedicated to redefining my work by continually pushing the boundaries of innovation and narrative.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Finding a mentor or building a network can be incredibly valuable in any creative field. From my experience, one of the best ways to find a mentor is to offer to assist them. Many creators start by helping out more experienced professionals, learning from them, and building relationships. However, it’s also crucial to put in the work on your own in the beginning. There are countless online tutorials and resources available that can teach you everything you need to know as a creator—you just have to be proactive and start creating.
Having a portfolio or body of work to show makes it much easier to network with other creators. When you have something tangible that demonstrates your skills and passion, people are more likely to take you seriously and be interested in collaborating or mentoring you. So, my advice is to stay dedicated, keep creating, and be open to learning from others.
