Conversations with Fabi Gutierrez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabi Gutierrez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m originally from Copiapó, a small city in northern Chile, and I’ve always had this huge curiosity about the world. Since I was a kid, I dreamed about traveling, discovering new places and experiencing different cultures. I think that curiosity has been the thread connecting almost everything I’ve done.

I studied Advertising and started my career working in tourism, travel agencies and customer service, which eventually led me to become a Disney travel agent specializing in trips to the US. That experience made me realize how much I loved not only traveling myself, but also helping other people turn their travel dreams into reality.

Over the years, I started creating content around travel, fashion, lifestyle and pop culture, sharing my experiences online and slowly building my own community. I never really had a perfectly defined plan for where it would take me, I just kept following the things that genuinely excited me.

In 2025, I spent time traveling around Europe, and that experience made me seriously think about living abroad. Eventually, I made the decision to move to France on a Working Holiday visa. I arrived in Paris in July 2026, with the idea of giving myself the opportunity to actually live the life I had spent so many years dreaming about.

Now I’m living in Paris, working, creating content, exploring Europe and documenting this new chapter of my life. It’s funny because for so long I was always thinking about the next trip, the next goal or the next dream. Now I’m learning to slow down a little and actually enjoy the life I worked so hard to create.

I guess my story is really about that: a boy from northern Chile who grew up dreaming about the world, and one day decided to just go and see it for himself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. I think from the outside, moving to Paris and building this life can look very exciting and effortless, but there’s obviously a lot that happens behind the scenes.

Leaving Chile and starting over in another country has probably been one of the biggest challenges. You leave behind your family, your friends, your routines, even the little things that make a place feel like home. Then suddenly you’re in a new city trying to figure out work, housing, paperwork, a new language… and also trying to build a social life from zero.

There have been moments where I’ve felt lost, homesick or wondered if I was making the right decision. And I think I’ve also had to learn that not everything has to happen on my timeline.

But honestly, I wouldn’t change the difficult parts. They’ve made me much more independent and have taught me to trust myself a lot more. I’m still figuring things out, but I’ve realized that maybe that’s part of the fun. I don’t have everything planned anymore. I’m just enjoying seeing where this chapter takes me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Today, I work as a content creator, focusing mainly on travel, lifestyle, fashion and pop culture. I also have a background in advertising and tourism, so I think I naturally look at content from both sides: as a storyteller and as someone who understands brands, experiences and audiences.

A big part of what I do is documenting my life in Paris and the experiences that come with it, from discovering a new place or trying something completely random, to fashion, food, travel and, of course, my love for Disney. I like making everyday experiences feel like a little story that people want to be part of.

I think what I’m most proud of is that I’ve been able to build a community around my personality and my way of seeing the world, rather than around just one specific niche. I’m not trying to be only a travel creator or only a fashion creator. It’s more about my perspective and the life I’m building.

What sets me apart is probably that mix. I’m a Chilean guy living in Paris, with a very strong love for travel, fashion, pop culture and Disney, and I don’t try to hide any of those sides. I think there’s something really special about being able to make all those things feel like they belong together.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
Absolutely. I don’t think anyone builds something completely on their own, and I’ve been really lucky to have people around me who have supported me at different stages of my life.

My family deserves a huge part of the credit. Moving to France meant leaving them behind and starting a completely new chapter, so having their support, even from far away, has meant a lot to me. They’ve always encouraged me to go after the things I really want, even when those decisions weren’t necessarily the safest or most predictable ones.

My friends have also been a huge part of my journey. Some have known me since before I started creating content, before Paris, before any of this really existed. Having people who know the person behind the content keeps me grounded.

Professionally, I’ve also been lucky to meet people who gave me opportunities when I was still figuring things out. From colleagues in tourism and advertising to brands and people I’ve collaborated with as a creator, every opportunity has helped me learn something new and become more confident in what I do.

And I’d also give some credit to my audience. It sounds cliché, but it’s true. The people who follow me have encouraged me to keep creating, experiment with new things and share more of my real life. Knowing that someone on the other side of the screen is connecting with something that I created is still one of the coolest parts of this whole journey.

So if I had to sum it up, I’d say my success has never really felt like a solo thing. It’s been a combination of people who believed in me, people who opened doors for me, and people who simply stayed around while I figured things out.
