Conversations with Fabiana Gehami

Today we’d like to introduce you to Fabiana Gehami

Hi Fabiana, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born and raised in Aventura, Florida and ended up in Orlando after my first semester in college (during COVID) was not going well. I ended up moving to Orlando and perusing my degree online while working in the Disney College Program.

Since 2012 I have been investing in learning how to sing, dance, act, and model and moving to Orlando was a great place to start. The city has lots of art-based backgrounds and allows for several performance and modeling opportunities.

My story has been something that I have learned to be appreciative about, no matter how chaotic or peaceful it is. Every challenge shaped me into the woman I am today, and I take great pride in that.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Its not always a smooth road but a struggle has always been the relationship I hold with myself. It was challenging to, was to look at myself in the mirror and not understand who was looking back. Also challenging was being my own bully and hardest critic with no sympathy. Throughout the years this relationship strengthened and solidified itself as the lesson I had to learn is that there is no one else that is going to love you or know you as well as you do. Nothing comes easy unless you work for it and fight for it, and I did just that for myself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Being a local to Orlando has helped me grow my passion for Modeling and Acting. I started by managing my social media as an influencer to share about my journeys and my everyday life as an Artist. Through funny videos, Day in my life, or sharing the final product of a photoshoot, it always encouraging knowing that i can inspire others to try new things! I would like to say that my personality and authenticity sets me apart from others, I stay true to myself and love to use my voice to inspire and support others. I am most proud of the confidence I have gained being on social media, it’s not easy having to hear yourself speak over and over while editing a video or exploring all of your most unflattering angles or even as simple as recording in public. Moving to Orlando has been an incredible place to build my career, and I’m excited for what each day holds next.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I have to say I always have several interesting stories to tell or fun fact about myself. To start I have an extensive background, my mom is from Venezuela and her parents are from Syria, my dad is from cuba but his family is from spain, and I am the first generation American.

Some of my fun facts include speaking around five languages, having a wide skill set like ballet, silk, painting, ect., and always being eager to learn something new. Personally my favorite saying to share is that there is always something new to learn from someone or something- so be open to listen and try new things even if they scare you.
