Conversations with Genesis Davidson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Genesis Davidson.

Hi Genesis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my Instagram casually back in my senior year of high school, just sharing bits of my everyday life. I’ve always loved capturing moments whether it was what I was doing, what I was wearing, or what I was eating. That love for documenting life naturally turned into a passion for photography, and after having my first son, I became a professional wedding photographer. I did that for a few years and absolutely loved it.

All the while, I kept sharing my life online especially the motherhood side of things and that started growing on its own. After having my third baby, I decided to take a step back from photography and pour my energy into social media full-time. It felt like the right time to make that shift, and I haven’t looked back since. Creating content that connects with other women, especially moms, has been such a fulfilling and exciting chapter for me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road there have been a lot of ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges has been the emotional and mental toll of caring about views, engagement, and what people think of me. Social media can feel really personal, and dealing with negative comments or just the pressure to constantly perform can be tough.

On top of that, I was juggling a lot being a business owner, a mom, a wife, and somehow finding the time and energy to create content. I always told myself that the moment it started to feel like a chore, I’d give myself permission to step back. And I’ve had to do that a few times take breaks, reset, and remember why I started. But every time, I found myself coming back to it. I love creating and sharing too much to stay away for long.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a lifestyle and motherhood content creator, and I share real moments from my day-to-day life as a mom of three. My content focuses on everything from relatable mom humor to daily routines, self-care, homemaking, and my journey through motherhood. I also love showing the beauty in the ordinary those little in-between moments that often go unnoticed but mean so much.

What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to build a community that feels seen. So many women, especially moms, message me saying, “This is exactly how I feel,” or “I thought I was the only one.” That kind of connection is what keeps me going.

I blend aesthetics with honesty, and that balance is really important to me. I want my content to be beautiful but also real and relatable.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Honestly, the only app I truly depend on is TikTok it’s basically my search engine at this point. Whether I’m looking for recipe ideas, mom hacks, or just a little motivation, that app somehow always knows what I need. I’ve learned so much through everyday people just sharing their experiences, and that kind of real-time, relatable content has definitely shaped the way I create and show up online.
