Today we’d like to introduce you to Gino Lelieve.
Hi Gino, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started singing when I was ten years old, starting at school and church choir. Once I got to middle school, I got into sports and didn’t really sing much for a while, it wasn’t until a high school injury that enabled me to play football anymore that got me back into singing. So around my Junior year of high school, I joined the school choir and theater programs and focused mainly on music! In my senior year, my teacher Mr. Wond told me that I should audition for some Colleges and continue doing music, so I auditioned to Rollins College where I studied for my Undergrad! While there, I developed a love for recording vocals and playing in small bands. So after school, I started writing my own music and recording them while meeting other Artist in Orlando and working with them as well! I took the stage name Shama which is my middle name. I joined two of my best friends Allen also Known as Ace the singer and Andrew known as Drew and we form a group called Trilogy! since then I’ve been able to record three songs that I have released on all major platforms!! These songs are “all for you by trilogy!” “OTW by Trilogy!” and “Malelve by Shama” I hope to soon record more songs in the future and start up a YouTube channel where I can bring in other artist under the radar and introduce them to everyone so they can share their gifts to them!!!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been kinda a rough road with building a following and being able to book performing gigs while we were in the pandemic but since it’s been getting better I have been able to perform at various places and clubs with my friends!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer/ songwriter stationed in the central Florida area. Projects that I am most proud of are the songs that record and put out on all streaming platforms! What sets me apart, I would have to say is my goofy positive vibes that I try to incorporate into my music and content!
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood memories would have to be in the 5th grade when I was asked to sing at a school event and my mom didn’t know that I had a solo, I was singing Hero by Mariah Carey and all I can remember was by the time I finished singing the crowd was going crazy and I could see how proud my mom was and surprised that I could sing!! It’s between that and the first time kissed a girl😁
