Today we’d like to introduce you to Haram Khan
Hi Haram, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always enjoyed weddings, especially south Asian weddings. However, I didn’t get into event design until I was expecting my second child and wanted to do something that allowed me to have a career and be able to spend time with my children. In 2017, a really good friend of ours approached me with helping plan their wedding and I of course agreed. I loved the experience so much that I told my husband “I think I know what I want to do!” By 2019, I had my LLC established and my first wedding client. It was a wonderful first year, lots of mistakes, hurdles, and lessons. I enjoyed every minute. Now we all know what happened in 2020, so of course I like many business, had to pause my work. I didn’t start full weddings again until 2022. Once I got my feet back in the game, I’ve had an amazing time, with amazing clients. Learning, improving, and expanding! This year, I took a leap of faith and attended a masterclass for event designers specifically for south Asian weddings, because I wanted to polish my skills and knowledge. I’m blessed to have clients that have given me an opportunity to create beautiful and elegant events.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely been a bumpy ride! Initially, it was learning logistics of this industry. Where to find the best florals? Where to get the best supplies? How to be efficient within the timeframe given? Then it became more of How to be a creative and a business owner? finding the balance between both sides of the business. As you grow, the struggles shift, but every day is learning experience.

I’m an event designer, stylist, and decorator. I specialize in South Asian weddings. Which consist of multiple events in multiple days. I would like to be known for creating memorable experiences with unique and cohesive atmospheres. I’m proud to be able to create long lasting memories for the family and friends, as well as, bringing the detailed vision to life. My ability to be innovative in my designs, provide personalized experiences for my client, and deliver tailored results is what distinguishes my approach in the industry.
