Conversations with Harry Lim

Today we’d like to introduce you to Harry Lim.

Harry Lim

Hi Harry, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My photography career started as an in-house photographer for a property management company. I was tasked with photographing the vacation homes in their inventory. After a couple of years I went out on my own and started my own business. I primarily photographed short term rentals and have been fortunate enough to capture some amazing homes at resorts all over Central Florida. I also photograph a lot of apartment communities and travel all over the state and country for various assignments. My clients also include custom home builders, architects and interior designers.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m fortunate to be in my 13th year of business, but my industry is feast or famine. There are good months and bad ones; good years and bad ones. It takes discipline and a savvy business mind to weather the slow times and keep moving forward.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’ve had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects. Whether it’s luxury homes with bowling alleys, arcade rooms and lazy rivers or commercial projects like The Florida Mall. A personal project of the Orange County Courthouse was featured in an episode of ABC’s 20/20.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Relationships matter. Most of my business comes from repeat clients and referrals. Being easy to work with and providing great customer service is just as if not more important then providing exceptional photography.
