Today we’d like to introduce you to Jailene Miranda.
Hi Jailene, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I always loved cheerleading. I’ve done cheerleading my whole life so I knew having my own cheer program would become my greatest accomplishment. To start it off, I made yard signs, flyers, and advertisements. I knew I needed a set location, time, date, and price. It takes a special drive to be consistent with a program. I started off with 20 girls and now the program is at 40+. I couldn’t have down it without the help of my mom, my partner, my two little cousins, and the community!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Cheerleading is fun and that’s what makes it so enjoyable however the risk it takes stunting, throwing girls in the air, and performing it for the crowd. There’s a possibility you can get hurt but that’s why we do everything with precautions.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Besides owning my cheer program, I am a Nursing Assistant and I am continuing my education in school in the health care field. I am CPR and BLS certified as well and that always helps with the kids doing cheer.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Many people would describe me as outgoing and friendly! I am always willing to grab a hand and walk someone down the road. My love for kids is stronger than no other!
