Conversations with Janelle Jacques

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle Jacques.

Janelle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Absolutely. My journey has been deeply shaped by my personal background—I’m the oldest of 10 children, and growing up, I didn’t have much guidance when it came to career or direction. That lack of clarity early on sparked something in me: a passion to become the example I wish I had.

I started in the insurance industry, where I spent over a decade helping families protect their futures. Along the way, I discovered that my true calling was bigger than sales—it was about educating and empowering others, especially women, to find success on their own terms.

That desire led me to found Insurance and Realtor BossBabes, a nonprofit created to help women gain the licenses, mentorship, and community support needed to thrive in both insurance and real estate.

When I transitioned into new home sales with one of America’s top builders, I saw another opportunity—not just to sell homes, but to build partnerships with realtors, educate buyers, and uplift families through homeownership.

At the core of everything I do is the belief that women can be successful in business and at home. I draw inspiration from the Proverbs 31 woman—a model of grace, strength, and leadership. My work is about showing that success doesn’t have to come at the cost of family, faith, or femininity.

Today, I’m also helping real estate professionals leverage LinkedIn to grow their brand, attract clients, and scale with strategy. My goal is simple: to be the guide I didn’t have, and to help women walk boldly in both purpose and profit.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all—there were many times when I questioned whether I was even on the right path. I’ve taken unconventional routes, made hard pivots, and faced moments of uncertainty that made me doubt if I was moving forward or just spinning my wheels.

But over time, I’ve come to realize that *every* experience—good, bad, or confusing—has shaped me into who I am today. From navigating a lack of direction early in my career, to learning how to lead from the front as the oldest of 10 siblings, to building a business rooted in service and faith—it all matters.

The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been purposeful. And now, when I look back, I can see that even the detours had a divine assignment. Every lesson gave me clarity, resilience, and a deeper understanding of what I’m called to do.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in selling new construction homes with one of America’s top builders, helping families find modern, energy-efficient homes that fit their lifestyle. What sets me apart is my collaborative approach—I don’t just work with buyers; I actively partner with realtors to help them grow their business alongside mine. I truly believe that *their success is my success*, and that philosophy has helped me build strong, lasting relationships in the industry.

While I’ve had several proud accomplishments throughout my career, one of the most recent and meaningful has been earning the title of **Ms. Kissimmee** through the Mrs. Corporate America pageant system. This platform has given me the opportunity to pour back into my community, mentoring young adults on their career paths and offering guidance during such a critical transition in life.

But beyond professional achievements, what I’m most proud of is being able to balance it all—building a career I love *and* making quality time for my husband and kids. Whether it’s family vacations or just being present in everyday moments, creating a life where I can thrive at work and at home is truly the biggest win of all.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about our city is that we’re at the center of one of America’s most visited destinations. Being surrounded by world-renowned attractions like Universal, Disney, Epic Universe, SeaWorld, and Busch Gardens creates an incredible opportunity—not just for tourism, but for real estate. Whether it’s helping families find the perfect vacation home or supporting theme park employees in securing a stable primary residence, there’s always a reason people are moving here, and that makes selling new construction homes both exciting and fulfilling.

As for what I like least—I’d have to say the traffic! With so many people visiting and relocating here, congestion can be a challenge. But honestly, it’s a small trade-off for everything this vibrant city has to offer.
